In 2012 Kristina Nokso-Koivisto and two members of FCMS, Martti Kulvik and Anna Numminen made a visit to Tanzania to meet potential collaborators there. The trip can be considered as the start of the eHealth project.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland provided funding for the planning in the years 2014 – 2016 and for the implementation from 2017 on. The last year was 2021.
Over the years many workshops and visits have been organized in Tanzania and in Finland. In addition, one workshop-series was held on-line, because travelling was not possible due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
